The following closures are scheduled between Sunday, September 14 and Friday, September 19. These closures will allow crews to perform bridge work, roadway paving, drainage work and temporary concrete barrier wall installation.
I-95
- Full Closure: northbound I-95 at SR 916/NW 135 Street
On Monday, September 15 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. and Friday, September 19 between 11:59 p.m. and 7 a.m., all lanes along northbound I-95 will be closed at SR 916/NW 135 Street and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Exit at SR 916/NW 135 Street and go north on NW 6 Avenue
- Turn left onto westbound SR 916/Opa-locka Boulevard
- Turn right onto northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Take the ramp to eastbound SR 826 Beaches/NW 167 Street
- Turn left onto northbound SR 915/NE 6 Avenue
- Turn right onto eastbound SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Take the ramp onto northbound I-95
- Full Closure: southbound I-95 at Exit 12 (NW 171 Street)
On Friday, September 19 between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., all lanes along southbound I-95 will be closed at Exit 12 and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Take the ramp onto southbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Turn left onto eastbound SR 916/NW 135 Street
- Take the ramp onto southbound I-95
- Ramp Closure: northbound I-95 to NW 167 Street
On Tuesday, September 16 and Wednesday, September 17 between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., the ramp from northbound I-95 to NW 167 Street will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Continue north on I-95
- Exit at SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn right onto SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn left onto southbound SR 915/NE 6 Avenue to access NW/NE 167 Street
- Closure: northbound and southbound I-95 Express Lanes
From Monday, September 15 to Friday, September 19 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., drivers who want to take the northbound and southbound I-95 Express Lanes between NW 30 Street and SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive will be detoured to use the general purpose lanes along I-95.
- Around-the-clock Ramp Closure: northbound I-95 exit to NW 151 Street
The exit ramp from northbound I-95 onto NW 151 Street (Exit 11) remains closed through summer 2026. Traffic is directed to use the next exit ramp onto eastbound SR 826/NW 167 Street (Exit 12B) or also the previous exit onto SR 916/NW 135 Street (Exit 10B).
- Lane Closures: I-95 between NW 135 Street and the Golden Glades Interchange
- At 9 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
Florida’s Turnpike
- Lane Closures: Florida’s Turnpike between SR 860/NW 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive and I-95
- From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., up to two lanes in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Full Closure: westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway at NW 7 Avenue Extension
On Sunday, September 14 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., all lanes along westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed at NW 7 Avenue Extension and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Take the ramp to northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north on SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue and turn left onto westbound SR 860/NW 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn left onto southbound SR 817/NW 27 Avenue
- Take the ramp to westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Full Closure: eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway at NW 7 Avenue Extension
From Tuesday, September 16 to Thursday, September 18 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., all lanes along eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed at NW 7 Avenue Extension and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Continue east and take the ramp to I-95 and southbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Exit at SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue and turn right onto northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Take the ramp to northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north and make a left for NW 7 Avenue Extension
- Lane Closures: SR 826/Palmetto Expressway between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue Extension
- At 9 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Ramp Closure: northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue to northbound I-95
On Monday, September 15 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ramp from northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue to northbound I-95 will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Take the ramp to eastbound SR 826 Beaches/NW 167 Street
- Turn left onto northbound SR 915/NE 6 Avenue
- Turn right onto eastbound SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Take the ramp onto northbound I-95
- Updated Traffic Pattern: SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue between South Biscayne River Drive and Connector Road
Northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue is reduced from two lanes to one lane, and southbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue is reduced from three lanes to two lanes. The exclusive bicycle lane is temporarily unavailable during this work phase.
SR 9
- Ramp Closure: SR 9 to the Golden Glades Interchange
On Thursday, September 18 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., the ramp from northbound SR 9 to the Golden Glades Interchange will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Go east on SR 916/Opa-locka Boulevard
- Take the ramp onto northbound I-95
NW 167 Street
- Ramp Closure: NW 167 Street to I-95, SR 9 and SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
On Sunday, September 14 and Monday, September 15 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., the ramp from NW 167 Street to southbound I-95, SR 9 and SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Take the ramp to westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Exit at NW 12 Avenue and turn left onto southbound NW 12 Avenue
- Turn left and take the ramp to eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Take the ramp to southbound I-95 and SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Updated Traffic Pattern: NW 167 Street and NW 2 Avenue Intersection
Northbound NW 2 Avenue is reduced to one exclusive left turn lane. This is a temporary configuration to continue reconstructing the Golden Glades Interchange.
SR 112/Airport Expressway
- Lane Closures: SR 112/Airport Expressway between NW 22 Avenue and I-95
- At 10 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
NW 171 Terrace
- Around-the-clock Full Closure: NW 171 Terrace
NW 171 Terrace between NW 2 Court and NW 2 Avenue remains closed around the clock through early 2026 for overhead bridge work. Traffic is being detoured to NW 7 Avenue Extension.
NW 6 Avenue
- Around-the-clock Full Closure: NW 6 Avenue between NW 151 Street and NW 162 Street
Drivers and pedestrians who want to go north onto NW 6 Avenue from the intersection of NW 151 Street and NW 6 Avenue will be detoured as follows:- Go east along NW 151 Street
- Turn right onto southbound South Biscayne River Drive
- Take the third exit at the roundabout onto northbound North Miami Avenue
- Turn left onto northbound Memorial Highway, which converts to NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north along NW 2 Avenue to NW 165 Street
- Drivers and pedestrians who want to go south onto NW 6 Avenue from the intersection of NW 165 Street and NW 2 Avenue will be detoured as follows:
- Continue south along NW 2 Avenue, which converts to Memorial Highway
- Turn right onto southbound North Miami Avenue
- Turn right onto northbound South Biscayne River Drive
- Turn left onto westbound NW 151 Street
- Continue west along NW 151 Street to NW 6 Avenue
