The following closures are scheduled between Sunday, October 12 and Friday, October 17. These closures will allow crews to perform bridge work, roadway paving, drainage work and temporary concrete barrier wall installation.
I-95
- Closure: northbound and southbound I-95 Express Lanes
From Monday, October 13 to Thursday, October 16 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., drivers who want to take the northbound and southbound I-95 Express Lanes between NW 30 Street and SR 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive will be detoured to use the general purpose lanes along I-95.
- Around-the-clock Ramp Closure: northbound I-95 exit to NW 151 Street
The exit ramp from northbound I-95 onto NW 151 Street (Exit 11) remains closed through summer 2026. Traffic is directed to use the next exit ramp onto eastbound SR 826/NW 167 Street (Exit 12B) or also the previous exit onto SR 916/NW 135 Street (Exit 10B).
- Lane Closures: I-95 between NW 135 Street and the Golden Glades Interchange
- At 9 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
Florida’s Turnpike
- Lane Closures: Florida’s Turnpike between SR 860/NW 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive and I-95
- From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., up to two lanes in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Full Closure: eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway at NW 7 Avenue Extension
On Tuesday, October 14 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., all lanes along eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed at NW 7 Avenue Extension and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Continue east and take the ramp to I-95 and southbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Exit at SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue and turn right onto northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Take the ramp to northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north and make a left for NW 7 Avenue Extension
- Full Closure: westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway at NW 7 Avenue Extension
On Tuesday, October 14 and Wednesday, October 15 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., all lanes along westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway will be closed at NW 7 Avenue Extension and traffic will be detoured as follows:- Take the ramp to northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north on SR 7/US 441/NW 2 Avenue and turn left onto westbound SR 860/NW 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn left onto southbound SR 817/NW 27 Avenue
- Take the ramp to westbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway
- Traffic Shift: ramp from eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway to the NW 167 Street and NW 2 Avenue intersection
- A newly completed bridge is now open for the ramp from eastbound SR 826/Palmetto Expressway to the NW 167 Street and NW 2 Avenue intersection.
- Traffic has been shifted to the new ramp as part of the GGI Project improvements.
- The new ramp is located just south of the old ramp.
- Lane Closures: SR 826/Palmetto Expressway between NW 12 Avenue and NW 7 Avenue Extension
- At 9 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Updated Traffic Pattern: SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue between South Biscayne River Drive and Connector Road
Northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue is reduced from two lanes to one lane, and southbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue is reduced from three lanes to two lanes. The exclusive bicycle lane is temporarily unavailable during this work phase.
NW 151 Street
- Full Closure: NW 151 Street at the I-95 bridge
On Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., NW 151 Street will be closed in both directions:
- All lanes along eastbound NW 151 Street will be closed at the I-95 bridge and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Go south on SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Turn left onto eastbound SR 916/NW 135 Street
- Turn left onto northbound NW 5 Avenue
- Turn right onto eastbound NW 151 Street
- All lanes along westbound NW 151 Street will be closed at the I-95 bridge and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Go south on NW 5 Avenue
- Turn right onto westbound SR 916/NW 135 Street
- Turn right onto northbound SR 7/US 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Turn left onto westbound NW 151 Street
NW 2 Avenue
- Detour: northbound NW 2 Avenue at NW 163 Street
From Friday, October 10 to Monday, October 13 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., drivers and pedestrians who want to continue north along NW 2 Avenue at NW 163 Street will be detoured as follows:- Turn right onto eastbound NW 163 Street
- Turn left onto northbound North Miami Avenue
- Turn left onto northbound NW 164 Street
- Turn right onto northbound NW 2 Avenue
NW 167 Street
- Updated Traffic Pattern: NW 167 Street and NW 2 Avenue Intersection
- Northbound NW 2 Avenue is reduced to one exclusive left turn lane. This is a temporary configuration to continue reconstructing the Golden Glades Interchange.
- The right turn lane from eastbound NW 167 Street to southbound NW 2 Avenue is temporarily unavailable. Please continue east and turn right at NW 1 Avenue or North Miami Avenue.
SR 112/Airport Expressway
- Lane Closures: SR 112/Airport Expressway between NW 22 Avenue and I-95
- At 10 p.m., one lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- At 11 p.m., a second lane in both directions will be closed nightly as needed
- All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
NW 171 Terrace
- Around-the-clock Full Closure: NW 171 Terrace
NW 171 Terrace between NW 2 Court and NW 2 Avenue remains closed around the clock through early 2027 for overhead bridge work. Traffic is being detoured to NW 7 Avenue Extension.
NW 6 Avenue
- Around-the-clock Full Closure: NW 6 Avenue between NW 151 Street and NW 162 Street
Drivers and pedestrians who want to go north onto NW 6 Avenue from the intersection of NW 151 Street and NW 6 Avenue will be detoured as follows:- Go east along NW 151 Street
- Turn right onto southbound South Biscayne River Drive
- Take the third exit at the roundabout onto northbound North Miami Avenue
- Turn left onto northbound Memorial Highway, which converts to NW 2 Avenue
- Continue north along NW 2 Avenue to NW 165 Street
- Drivers and pedestrians who want to go south onto NW 6 Avenue from the intersection of NW 165 Street and NW 2 Avenue will be detoured as follows:
- Continue south along NW 2 Avenue, which converts to Memorial Highway
- Turn right onto southbound North Miami Avenue
- Turn right onto northbound South Biscayne River Drive
- Turn left onto westbound NW 151 Street
- Continue west along NW 151 Street to NW 6 Avenue
