Starting Monday, September 14 at 5 a.m., drivers along the northbound I-95 general purpose lanes heading to northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 2 Avenue will no longer use Exit 12C.
Instead, drivers will use Exit 12B, which also provides access to eastbound S.R. 826/NW 167 Street. This is a permanent traffic pattern change and it is designed to improve mobility through the interchange. There are no changes to the northbound I-95 Express Lanes.
Crews will close several ramps over the weekend to complete the permanent traffic pattern change:
Friday, September 11 at 10 p.m. until Monday, September 14 at 5 a.m.
The ramp from NW 167 Street to northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 2 Avenue will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Take the ramp to northbound I-95
- Exit at S.R. 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn right onto westbound S.R. 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Continue west for S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 2 Avenue
The ramp from northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 7 Avenue and northbound S.R. 9 to northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 2 Avenue will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Take the ramp to eastbound S.R. 826 Beaches/NW 167 Street
- Turn left onto northbound S.R. 915/NE 6 Avenue
- Turn left onto westbound S.R. 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Continue west for S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 2 Avenue
Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The ramp from northbound I-95 to NW 167 Street will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Continue north on I-95
- Exit at S.R. 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn right onto S.R. 860/NE 183 Street/Miami Gardens Drive
- Turn left onto southbound S.R. 915/NE 6 Avenue to access NW/NE 167 Street
The ramp from northbound S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 7 Avenue to the Golden Glades Interchange will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Go south on S.R. 7/U.S. 441/NW 7 Avenue
- Turn left onto eastbound S.R. 916/Opa-locka Boulevard
- Take the ramp onto northbound I-95
The ramp from northbound S.R. 9 to the Golden Glades Interchange will be closed and traffic will be detoured as follows:
- Go east on S.R. 916/Opa-locka Boulevard
- Take the ramp onto northbound I-95
